Jonathan Boyar Authors a Chapter in Harriman’s Book of Investing Rules

Much to our surprise and delight, Chris Parker of U.K. book publisher Harriman House asked Boyar Research President, Jonathan Boyar, to contribute a chapter for the latest edition of their popular ‘investing rules’ book. Entitled Harriman’s New Book of Investing Rules, previous editions have included chapters written by Bill Gross and John Bogle.

Jonathan’s chapter focuses on the importance of being patient. While not a typical hallmark quality of either professional or individual investors, patience puts you at a significant competitive advantage over other investors. By following this “investing rule” and treating each stock as something you intend to hold onto for many years, as well as paying minimal attention to the day-to-day price fluctuations of the stock market, you give yourself a better chance of compounding your capital at a satisfactory rate over the long-run.

We hope you enjoy the chapter. We welcome any and all feedback.
